ASB GlassFloor Featured on “Verstehen Sie Spaß?”
Saturday evening at 8:15 PM – that remains a special time on German television. It’s when the country’s biggest and most popular entertainment shows air. On April 12, 2025, the ASB GlassFloor was featured during prime time: in the ARD show “Verstehen Sie Spaß?” hosted by the popular presenter Barbara Schöneberger, the uniquely designed LED glass floor played a central role in Saturday night entertainment.
In the show, known for its pranks with hidden cameras, this time Wayne Carpendale, a well-known host, actor, and producer, was the target. Carpendale, a passionate FC Bayern Basketball fan and close friend of managing director Marko Pesic, was unsuspectingly caught in a staged prank on the high-tech ASB GlassFloor located in the BMW Park Munich.
As part of the Bundesliga game against MLP Academics Heidelberg (final score: 87:78), Carpendale was supposedly engaged by Pesic to guide a group of sponsors and business partners through the hall in the afternoon. Suddenly, the LED glass floor appeared to malfunction, displaying disruptive graphics reminiscent of a computer crash. Of course, this was a pre-planned prank designed to surprise Carpendale, who believed he had damaged the premium glass floor, risking the start of the game and halting the halftime show.
Barbara Schöneberger stepped in to reveal the prank and clarify the situation, providing a fun and entertaining TV moment.
The ASB GlassFloor is no stranger to television productions. It has been a staple in shows like “Joko & Klaas gegen ProSieben”, where its dynamic and versatile design creates captivating stage effects. The LED glass floor seamlessly combines technology with entertainment, offering unique visual experiences that elevate TV productions and captivate audiences.
