ASB GlassFloor revolutionizes the Football Experience at DAZN’s Infinity League in Munich
Munich, March 26, 2025 – The second edition of the Infinity League, DAZN’s innovative indoor football event, set new standards last weekend at the BMW Park in Munich, combining sports, technology, and entertainment. At the center of it all was the ASB GlassFloor, which took the experience for both athletes and fans to a new level.
Numerous football legends also expressed their excitement about the ASB GlassFloor – and they surely know best. It’s not often you see so many World Cup winners on one field: Lúcio (2002) and Paulo Sérgio (1994) from Brazil, Kevin Großkreutz and Roman Weidenfeller (both 2014) from Germany, Andrea Barzagli (2006) from Italy, and David Trezeguet (1998) from France, joined by other stars, celebrities, and influencers to compete at the Infinity League. It was a fitting setting to also unveil the new FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ trophy to the public for the first time.
Innovation through Technology: ASB GlassFloor in Focus
Equally in the spotlight was the ASB GlassFloor, on which player and ball tracking were used for the first time at the Infinity League. Fans in the BMW Park and at home on their screens were given exciting insights into the game through real-time data – a feature that took the fan experience to a completely new level. A special air-hockey-style game with a digital ball also demonstrated the additional possibilities that the ASB GlassFloor offers. Such digital features could soon become a standard part of sports competitions.
Thanks to its LED technology, the floor allows for flexible display of field markings and interactive graphics. This innovation significantly shaped the unique atmosphere of the Infinity League, providing the audience with a visually stunning experience. Furthermore, the ASB GlassFloor is gentler on the joints than traditional sports floors, thanks to its special composition.
“The second edition of the Infinity League has impressively shown how much fans love innovative football formats. The ASB GlassFloor was once again a central element of the experience – both for the players on the field and for the viewers at home. The interactive graphics and real-time visualizations made the game even more dynamic and offer tremendous potential for the future of the Infinity League,” says Haruka Gruber, Senior Vice President Media at DAZN.
“As no other current technology does, the ASB GlassFloor not only expands the functionality of sports venues but also enables entirely new event formats. This allows sports to reach new audiences, while venue operators and event organizers gain innovative marketing opportunities,” adds Jan Weber, Head of Global Sales at ASB GlassFloor.
An extraordinary Event: Football, Entertainment, & Music
In addition to the technological innovation of the ASB GlassFloor, the Infinity League also impressed with its unique sporting concept: Mixed teams of men and women from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and Juventus Turin – consisting of legends, top players, and influencers – battled it out in exciting duels. Live musical acts by artists such as Billa Joe, KC Rebell, and Summer Cem, as well as the Italian pop duo Coma_Cose, rounded off the event, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
The successful integration of ASB GlassFloor into the Infinity League impressively shows how modern technologies can elevate sports to a new level and sustainably enhance the spectator experience.
